Subject: Duke Network Analysis Center

Description: The Network Analysis Center seeks to crystallize
the latent talent in this area at Duke and around
the triangle to build a world-premier source for
cutting edge network studies. The network analysis
center is now emerging as a formal center
affiliated with the Social Science Research
Institute. Our affiliate membership has grown to
over 130 (faculty & students) from most units in
the social sciences, and many members from the
physical and natural sciences. Our affiliates span
campuses, with both faculty and student members
from UNC, NC State and RTI. Our ultimate goal is
to build a strong network community in the
research triangle area lead by Duke that provides
collaboration opportunities, seed funds for new
projects as well as direct research analysis
support from dedicated graduate students and post
doctoral researchers. Thus, the Center will be as
a general resource for researchers who wish to
build network analysis elements into their current
research programs and a source for new ideas and
training.
